Whether he is played by Basil Rathbone, Jeremy Brett or Robert Downey Jr., Sherlock Holmes is always a treat. He is fixed eternally in the landscape of detective fiction and sets the bar for other detectives. Television's 'House' was based on Sherlock, he had a catch phrase before we knew what a 'catch phrase was'. 'Elementary my dear Watson' is a line anyone can recognize. Why do we love the cantankerous know it all? There was something lovely and mysterious about the violin playing, cocaine using, brainiac who could tell you your life story just by looking at your shoes and your hands. He was the first to use 'forensic science' and was a master of disguise. He was above us, yet he was with us. He was a solitary figure who mingled with mere mortals when they needed his special assistance. Who COULDN'T love Sherlock Holmes!

As a person comes into this world and this earth serves as a home for him to live his life till he dies. A man holds all the relations in the world, seeks comfort and a better place for himself. It is thus an obligation on every man to put his own part for the construction and transformation of the world into a much better place to live.
