SCOTT KLAVAN (Smokey Adams ) Recently, Scott acted in a featured role, alongside Judd Hirsch, in the Web Series, Small Miracles. For this part, he was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor at the LA Web Fest. Earlier, he performed on Broadway in Irena’s Vow, with Tovah Feldshuh, reprising his role as Roman from the Off-Broadway run. He shot the title role and did narration for Mechanic to Millionaire: The Peter Cooper Story, a docu-drama for
PBS Network. Scott played five parts in the stage version of the film hit The Joy Luck Club, for Pan Asian Rep. Other Off-Broadway: Endpapers, directed by Pamela Berlin; Double Sophia, The Cherry Lane Theatre; the leading role of Fisby in the classic comedy The Teahouse of the August Moon, as well as the NY premiere of Sayonara, at Pan Asian Rep; Combustion at BAM; Treplev in The Seagull, directed by Kjetl Bang-Hansen, head of the National Theatre of Norway. Scott has performed regionally in A Shayna Maidel, Studio Arena Theatre, Buffalo, NY; The Common Pursuit, Studio Theatre, Washington, D.C; the title role in The Puppetmaster of Lodz, The Egg, Albany, NY; others. In 2014-15, Scott directed the Off-Broadway premiere of My Stubborn Tongue, written and performed by Anna Fishbeyn, at New Ohio Theatre and United Solo Festival. In August 2016, he directed and acted in the solo play, Canada Geese, by George Klas, at the 2016 NY International Fringe Festival. Scott wrote and appeared in The Double Murder Plays, a series of one-acts for the 2007 Fringe Festival. One of the plays, Double Murder, was published in Best American Short Plays of 2006-7, by Applause Books. In the 2010 Fringe, Scott wrote and performed in P.O., about modern postal workers. Both P.O. and Scott’s one-man piece, Wolf Messing & The KGB, were chosen as texts for Florida State University’s nationwide Speech & Debate competition.

Vince Trani* (Louie Gugliano) in various roles
VINCE TRANI (Louie Gugliano) is happy to be back at the Schoolhouse, having debuted as Sal in How To Bury A Saint and seen last as O. Henry and others in Gift of the Magi. He was also directed by Bram Lewis at the Project Rushmore Theatre Company as Creon in Medea and the Fool in King Lear. Vince is a founding member and resident composer of the Gotham Radio Theatre. He is glad to be working again with Sydnie Grosberg Ronga who directed him in Idiot's Delight, Frankenstein and Rudolph's Tale. He has appeared at the Public Theatre as Thersites in Troilis and Cressida, Los Angeles Civic Light Opera in the revival of Kismet, Goodspeed Opera House in Dorian and Red, Hot and Blue, Cincinnati Playhouse in Twelfth Night and Disney Entertainment Productions as Doc in Snow White - An Enchanting Musical. He played Faust in the First National Tour of Ken Hill's Phantom of the Opera and Sancho Panza in twelve productions of Man of La Mancha.
Laura Leopard* (Irene Dahlia) as Irene Adler and Mrs. Hudson
LAURA LEOPARD (Irene Dahlia) a founder of Gotham Radio Theatre, has appeared for GRT as Rudolph in Rudolph's Tale: A 1964 Christmas, Joanna/Monica in Present Laughter, and Elvira in Blithe Spirit, Julia in Fallen Angels and other roles. From Nashville, Tennessee her credits include An Ideal Husband, at The Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey, Quartett at BAM (the Brooklyn Academy of Music), Amadeus at the prestigious Barter Theatre in Virginia, and Claire in Proof at Mill Mountain Theatre in Virginia. Favorite roles include, Mary Queen of Scotts in Mary Stuart, and Nan/Lina in Three Days of Rain. She is thrilled to once again be ‘The Woman’ Irene Adler in this Sherlock Holmes mystery.
Martin McGeachy (Bartholomew Redmond) in various roles
Martin McGeachy can’t make up his mind what he wants to be when he grows up. By day (and lots of nights too), Martin is the pastor of Gilead Presbyterian Church in Carmel, New York. By night (and the occasional matinee), Martin is an actor and playwright with credits from theatres all across the country, from New York City to Stamps, Arkansas. Favorites include Malvolio in Twelfth Night, Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, “Daphne” in Some Like it Hot, and leading roles in Charley’s Aunt, The Foreigner, and My Fair Lady. His favorite leading lady is Gotham’s Laura Leopard, Dolly Levi to his Vandergelder way back in college!

SYDNIE GROSBERG RONGA (Sydnie Gale) is delighted to be bringing Gotham Radio Theatre to The Schoolhouse Theatre. Sydnie has a long history of work with Schoolhouse Artistic Director, Bram Lewis. As his Associate Artistic Director for The Phoenix Theatre Company, she directed Boy Meets Girl, Alone At The Beach, and The Nerd. Sydnis has adapted and directed most of Gotham’s productions over the last six years. She has just returned from directing Driving Miss Daisy in St. Louis for New Jewish Theatre, where she directed Bad Jews, last season and for which she was nominated for a best director award. Sydnie directed Inherit the Wind, for Insight Theatre over the summer and is a co-founder of Max & Louie Productions, and directed their critically acclaimed productions of Chancers, The Violet Hour, It Had to Be You and The Lady With All the Answers. In NYC she directed premiers of World of Sinatras & Exquisite Potential and Valhalla for the Project Rushmore Theatre Company. Ms. Grosberg Ronga directed Branislav Tomich’s one-man plays; Blue Lanterns which had a highly successful run in New York in the Fall of ’09, and Café God which played in NYC, St. Louis and won a Drama-Logue Award in Los Angeles. She has also worked with Manhattan Class Company and The Women’s Project. As an Arts Educator, Sydnie works with students of all ages, directing shows from elementary school to college and designing theatre curriculum for in-school and after-school programs. An acting teacher and coach, Sydnie was born in St. Louis. She is a graduate of Webster University.
